I have a guitar Dean ZX. I was teaching me songs. Learning new things as I go. I had a question about tabs and how exactly to read them. I know that about 3 meaning 3rd fret and all that jazz, but I was wondering about the spaces between the number of. Say this is the guide guitar I'm reading G | | - 2 ------ --- 2 ----- 2 --|-- 1 ------ 1 -------- 9 -- - | - 7 ------ 7 -------- 7 - | D ||------ 4 --------------|-- -------------------| ---------------------| The ||---------------------|--- ------------------|--- ------------------| E ||------ ---------------|------ --------- I ---------------|------------ Why are spaced. Will I just want to say that I have to take a break .. or what. Sounds like a stupid question, but I'm learning so any thoughts would be helpful. Sucks its because she is playing an acoustic through music and I have a Dean ZX .. is the type of hard ha.
It really depends on what sounds best. If you are a real piece of music, with videos available etc, then try to play well for this. Programs like guitar pro or PowerTabs are good to play music on, as you can play the existing tabs and play your own.
