How can I achieve my dream of becoming a composer of the soundtrack?

As John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Howard Shore, Steve Jablonsky, etc. I am a musician avid (piano, cello, guitar, percussion) and soundtracks of love. I have composed some music already. You think I would have to go to Julliard even have a shot at it? Because I am interested in geography, engineering, anatomy, anthropology, and chemistry and also aspire to go to MIT, Harvard or any Ivy League schools and would hate to limit my education to just music. Furthermore, it is their way no contact (write a letter, conduct a telephone conversation) with a famous composer of the soundtrack (as listed above) or would be very difficult to get a hold of them because they have many letters from fans? If you know any the responses I would like you to tell me. I got John Williams address and I'm thinking of writing a letter.

It can be difficult to get a response from those who you listed. Why do not you try talking with a local driver (like a band class, for example) to see how they got where they are. Or, if You can try a conductor of an orchestra larger. Ask how they started. You may not want to be limited only to music, so perhaps the art is all around a grounding good enough. Edit: Since you have his address, you can certainly try to write him and give him some time, say two months. If you do not hear anything back, you can continue making their own music and chatting with other composers.
