In the history of blues guitar there were some great players and fortunately many of the major players are still with us today. If you prefer smooth guitar blues or if you would like to have your guitar blues smash in the face there and to force players to entertain you for more than a century. Here is a quick look at some blues guitar players who made an impact.
BB King
BB King was playing blues guitar for over 60 years and is one of standards that people use when talking about the blues guitar players. He has recorded with big bands such as U2 and is best known for his brand hollow body electric guitar that he calls Lucille. It was originally called the Beale Street Blues Boy, but his first record came out of the label was shortened to BB and used his real name of the king passed to create the name BB King. In more than 60 years BB King has played his smooth style of blues around the world.
Eric Clapton
Known simply as "Slow Hand", Eric Clapton is a self-taught guitar prodigy who got his start in the famous hard rock band's 1960 Cream of blues. After he finished Cream went on to form acts as Derrick And The Dominos Clapton, but he was always showing his hand mark smooth slow blues guitar style somewhere in the world. Recently Cream reunited for some shows and it is unknown whether or not they will stay together, but even without a reunited Cream Eric Clapton has made his mark as one of the greatest blues guitar players ever.
Robert Johnson
It is difficult talk about guitar players in blues, not to mention the man that greats as Jimi Hendrix and Muddy Waters quote as one of his prime influences. Robert Johnson was born in 1911 and died in 1938, but from there, he recorded and released at least a half dozen or more records that survive today as an example of the talent and vision that Johnson had. He lived the blues and, according to some accounts, died of the blues Robert Johnson, and is where most blues is said to have come.
Jimi Hendrix
For some reason, Jimi Hendrix is never given due as the master of blues guitar player he was, because many people can not see beyond their use of sound and energy on the electric guitar. Jimi But all I did was based on the blues and many of their most popular songs are simply made way blues music of Jimi and there is nothing wrong with that.
