Guitar Kill Switch Wiring

How do you wire in a 3 way toggle "kill switch" to a guitar?
Basically, I can break the circuit or it will cause a buzz? Alternatively I need to send the signal to the ground and not out? Cheers!
The entry level for the guitar amp is the MIC, or low level which explains why you get a loud buzz when you unplug from the end of the guitar. The amplifier has to really expand and the slack cable acts as an antenna for EMI the room. In professional systems, when they use a kill switch for a microphone, they simply short entry. This keeps the audio to get through, and that the reasons cable so that it can act as an antenna. I do not get involved much with the guitar accessories, so I'm a little surprised that there are commercial products to you want. But I think in some ways to accomplish it. One is to build a box too small, just large enough to house a switch (SPDT), connecting to my guitar, and that the cable will go from box to the amplifier. Another, if I did not want the weight or distraction on my guitar, it would install the amplifier input. Specified I once a SPDT SPST because you do not want to simply open the circuit, but it is really short.
