That paints and varnishes are the best to use gloss and durability to recreate an electric guitar?

What links with the wood better? What are the best shine? I'm working on a very limited budget, so accessibility issues. The most bang for my buck is what I'm looking for. Is a second-rate guitar, an old 10 series, but it is just a project my son and I decided I would take. The guitar will be for him to learn about when the project is completed, but I want him to be able to be proud of it and want to take care of it.

you can use acrylics for automotive guitars. prime it, paint it, then clear finish. This is the only way you will do it cheap. Otherwise, you may have to spend more in some nitrocellulose
