Voice, instrumental recording, mixer into the laptop to the aspiring singer.?
I am looking to buy a laptop for my daughter for her work school. It highlights academically so I need one that has strengths for the type of business of teaching functions. However, it is also an aspiring singer and taking vocal lessons. So I would like to get a system that works with a laptop, where it can mix digital instumentals (MP2, WAV, MIDI, etc), analog instruments (guitars, drums and piano mic'ed) and voice inputs. I'm not looking at the high end of professional equipment for the expense, but it can create some music and write to a CD and will have a sound quality compariable music from commercial CDs. I'm not concerned so much with the brand of laptop unless a specific brand has this type of system built in one of its settings. Any suggestions of software, hardware, connections, advice, etc. will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
You can get decent sound on any PC, if you want a program to do the recording, then you will prolly be the cakewalk that you are for. If you get a microphone, then you may need to buy an adapter to fit the microphone input on your PC.
