Guitar Lucille

What do you think about this set up?
first of all, I am not a beginner IV, but only been playing for about 6 months. I know how to have a beginning playing time hard guitar more enjoyable, now you think it can be very difficult for me to play in about 8 months later? ok so i think im going to buy an epiphone bb king in http://www.guitarcenter.com/Epiphone-BB Spring - King-Lucille-Electric-Guitar-518252-i1149957. gc and then this winter im going to get a fender blues deville reissue 410 http://www.fender.com/products//search.php?partno=2232100000 thoughts?
Interesting choices .... I'm assuming you're going for a more classic bluesy tone, right? * Grin * The guitar goes, I do not see anything that I do not like. I tend to prefer guitars that are not models of signature since end customizing them for me, personally, I prefer anyway, but in terms of quality of his guitar an enjoyable one. I like the fact that you have an exit stereo - this is a feature I really like! A lot of guitarists such as a mixture of several amperes to fill and thicken the tone (John Mayer and Kerry King are the first two I thought, from two completely different genres!), So having this embedded option to pick is a feature sweet to me. I understand that it has a switch Varitone, which in my view to switch between different capacitors to vary the basic tone of the guitar itself ... very cool! I tend prefer to swap the stock pickups of any guitar I buy (another reason I prefer cheaper guitars!) so keep that open as an option if you not necessarily as the keynote of the guitar, but I like how he plays. I'm betting just about any style PAF pickup would be great in this guitar. And his archtop one! Gotta love that - even cheapo Ibanez Artcore archtop series has a beautiful sound. Gotta love the warmth and resonance that adds to your sound! Keep in mind that with any guitar, usually the strings of the plant and suck intonation, may be necessary for them to set (or do it yourself) so that the guitar is played correctly. As far as the amp goes, I prefer a 2x12 combo with a 4x10 "mini-stack. A 2x12 is very high, and the speaker 12 "gives a better tone, in my opinion, the same 4 10 "speakers. The important thing to keep in mind is that this is a tube amp, and you need to push a tube amp pretty hard to get a great tone (as opposed to just merely good * grin *). So consider socket converter (ie THD Yellowjackets), allowing the use feeding tubes for low power ... This will allow you to push your amp harder and get better sound at lower volumes (instead of just be too high in the "3"!). The comments on each are below amps, and many of them promote the exchange of speakers and tubes - perfectly well, not problem. If you switch to a tube preamp low gain (ie, a 12AT7 or 12AU7), then you will have less distortion / gain, so if you want a tone quality of your amplifier, then stay with 12AX7's (feel free to try different, of course!). One Yes, I think it about it. Pretty sweet gear for a sound / blues classic. I think you really like it, probably for many years to come! Saul
