Guitar Method 1 Book

I just got a guitar and want to learn to play follow-Q?
1 - There is a specific method that you suggest to start with? In respect to reading a beginner's book or watching a DVD on the subject ... or maybe watching people give lectures on YouTube. 2 - Should I start with a pick or just finger finger or whatever you call it? 3 - There is a popular site to go to the chord that has a lot of songs (a free site). 4 - And my last question, I can type it in a way that makes sense ... When I play a G, I have a finger on the top rope, 2 strings, and the bottom two strings I think it is, well, in this case, I obviously strumming the guitar strings. But what a chord that I just hold the bottom two strings or something? Did I just scratch the bottom two strings that chord? Or strum them all? Does that make sense ?.... Thanks for any help!
YouTube will also go to help u guitar.com end should learn from a pick-guitar.com end depends on whether it shows only 2 strings or not, if u do not just throw them 2 strings, but if you open them, then u play all
