Guitar Midi Cable

you can use a MIDI to USB to record guitar through a mixer?
I am using Mixcraft 4 to write my own music, but I did not want to go out and buy a MIDI to USB cable, if it will not work for me!
MIDI does not transmit audio. This is one of the biggest misconceptions about it. What it does is pass the commands say synthesizers (physical or virtual) that registers to play when, volume, and changes in the program. Are also a map control protocol set to control the curtains, lasers, pyrotechnics, etc. But, it is only audio. Unless your guitar has a synth pickup on it, a cable USB to MIDI will do nothing for you. Greetings from Austin, TX Ken
