Guitar Midi Foot Controller

I am interested in midi how it works, how it works!?
I play guitar, and want to know how the midi. I have a lot of pedals, I put them on a rack and have a midi foot controller that will control the pedals out on stage I boss super overdrive match the distortion in my Valvetronix Vox, if I have the midi controller, I can switch between my overdrive and clean without having to change a couple of pedals out just to get clean. I do not know much about midi as you can say that I'm interested in the Rocktron MIDI Mate MIDI foot control that will do the trick
You can think of MIDI connection type of a network of devices audio ... as a mini-internet, if you will. They send information packets to others that contain different types of information .... Click on a pedal midi and will send a packet of information to your amp with an instruction to change the channel. It's all a little less clear as far as the details of all go, but the basics are there a number of different channels packages can be sent, the default should always be 0 unless you are using multiple midi FX-controlled, in which case each should have its own channel ... ummm ... and an effect is not compatible with MIDI, unless it says so. The SD-1 is not so unless your fx loop Vox will not be controlled with the pedal ... but you can use it as a floor pedal, and use only a simple control midi pedal to change channel on your amp, for sure. If this is the case, obtain the simplest you can find, you do not need much to control only launching an amplifier and back. If you are changing presets, usually you will want four buttons, however, that this is a common configuration - four presets per bank, four control buttons that default to activate. It may be more complicated - expression pedals, buttons and others that can control the tuner etc, but for now it seems simple, keeping it well. =) Saul
