Iron Maiden was at the start of heavy metal. There is no denying its influence to every metal band of 80 years on. They were very influential in the Slayer, whose early works sound very similar to lick Iron Maiden. Even now that the metal is coming bands like Mastodon who are taking the next steps of metal to get help the girl. In his own right, there is a second level of icon behind bands such as Led Zeppelin and Sabbath are the godfathers of rock music.
My favorite album is Iron Maiden Power Slave. The heaviest of all the Iron Maiden album. It has some of his best songs, including Power Slave, Rima's Ancient Mariner and 2 Minutes to Midnight. I would also recommend the Killers album that was released before Bruce Dickinson was the singer. Murders in the Rue Morgue songs Killers and show more of a hard rock feel a little more like ACDC in their work earlier than the more melodic. They were known to put out concept albums that entire collection of their albums follows the story of their giant mascot Eddie.
If you like Iron Maiden I would recommend early albums of Slayer, as in map Mercy and Hell Awaits especially the tracks title. I would also recommend the album Mastodon Leviathan. Definitely check out Iron Maiden and Slayer if you like Iron Maiden
