Can anyone recomment a site or book to learn guitar theory?

Im a beginner, but I want to learn to read music and guitar and learn to create chords based on the number and proper fingerings for all scales.

My choice and recommendation is: The Everything Music Theory Book (with CD) by Marc Schonbrun (Classical Guitarist cost): $ 19.95 This is an excellent book for any music student, but students of guitar will benefit the most with this book (2007) new.
