Tabulation has six lines and these lines indicate the strings of the guitar. --------- And a (rope) BG --------- --------- D - A ------- --------- --------- E (6 strings) where numbers are in a row, this number indicates that FRET in which you play a chord. and ------ 5 --- 1 (string, fifth fret) when numbers are diagonal, you choose (or fingerpick) each note individually. e --- 3 --- 5 ------ B ------ G -------- 7-If the numbers are stacked on top of each other, What is a chord. Below is an Am and ----- 0 ---- 1 ---- B ----- G ----- D ----- 2 --- 2 --- A-- --- 0 ---- E ----- x ---- The "X" means that you do not hit that sequence. 0 means open string.
