Guitar Nut Replacement

Guitar question nut replacement.?
The nut has worn on my guitar and I need to replace it I went to look at the new, but can not what they mean when they say 43mm x 3.4 x 4.6 to 3.8 mm and other measures, for example, does this refer? also how much would it cost for a store music to get the nut have and begin to re-string guitar? Thanks Any help would be great.
It's really not very expensive to get nut replaced by a technician in a store. Normally, about $ 35-50. The measurements, its length, height and width of the nut. The reason for the As the second width is that (I use the 2 major companies for ease of reference), Fender and Gibson use different styles nut. Gibson has the nut on top of the scale whereas Fender chisels a slot in the mirror for the nut to rest in. If you have a Fender style totally suggest that spending extra money and upgrade to a Rollernut LSR.
