Guitar drop D tuning?
I tune my E string to D. However, when I check the tuning on fret 5 or 7, G or A, which is out of tune. Very sharp. Then I tune the frets. In fact, when I drop D, D is in tune, and the 12th fret D is also consistent. It's everything else is not close. This is the basis of how settlement works. Each fret is a half step ... and so on. I understand that part. I YouTubed intonation and messed around to see if it would solve the problem. He did a little but is still quite far.
Sounds like your intonation is off. Instead of explaining how to adjust it, take it to a guitar tech and have them do it, shouldn't cost much if anything. If you really need an explanation, low, the corresponding moves, note a fret? So, if I was in Eb tuning, would be an A on fret 6, not 5. You've confused because I do not see how that you are describing is possible. Edit2: The only way that can be possible is if you are pressing extreemly hard while fretting a note ... that would cause it to go sharp.
