Guitar Pc Effects

How can I connect my guitar to my computer?
I want to use my software on my computer to edit, save and add effects to my guitar tracks, but I do not know how to hook my guitar to my PC? I have a Soundblaster Live! Series card, but I do not see a jack for a guitar cable.
You have a couple of options. You could go for something like the M-Audio USB MobilePro, which is actually a pre-amplifier with a USB interface. Or, for less money you could buy a Griffin Guitar Cable adapting to 1 / 4 "phono jack on the guitar for 1 / 8" mini phono to your computer and corresponds to the impedance you so you can connect the right thing for the MIC. This makes for a less immediate, since the cable does not have any built-in effects, but if you have effects pedals or software post-processing can add them in.
