guitar picks dunlop
What is the best type of reed?

I am very new at guitar and I do not speak well of the flipper lingo yet, I needed some picks So I went to Guitar Center and asked the lady what she recommended. she gave me yellow, Dunlop picks, with a little turtle on top, they say, 73 millimeters. they are far from flexible, in my opinion and I really do not like them. Does anyone who plays guitar knows how to ask a kind of choice that is much less articulated and which brand better? thank you:)

There are many manufacturers out there to choose, and your best bet is to sample as many as you can. The original "hackers" Fender guitar picks were the celluloid and they came in 3 types: the light-weight (thin), heavy (thick). The kind of choice that you at Guitar Center gave him a TORTEX Dunlop choose, 73 is between a size medium and heavy. Many beginners to handle heavy, but eventually decide on medium size as they become better at strumming and picking. There are many professional players who enjoy heavy gauge picks, but the most popular are the medium sizes. Although thin picks are not real popular there enough players who use them to justify them are still being made. Some players use different sizes to play acoustic and electric and still others that use different gauges for the different techniques. Spend some bucks and try a lot of different types and sizes to see which works best for you. I use dunlop nylon picks (those gray) and I use a .60 caliber and trim the tips to a point too fast for the harvest. I also hold the side to choose when playing lead and flatten it out a bit to play chords. I have been using the same picks for many years
