Guitar Power Amp Rack
Questions about a system rack guitar?
So I got curious about the rack systems, but I'm a little confused about them. First of all, would be a rack system, basically, just replace the head amp, since you are customizing your own pre-amp, amplifier power, and combinations of the effects? Or you just use the rack along with your original head / cab setup?
You could do both, but most often people replace their amp heads with a rack containing a pre-amplifier and power amplifier. There are some advantages to doing this, but personally I think if you use an amplifier of good quality, either a head / cab or a combination of a good guitar and you do not need much more. The Vox AC30 never fails me.
