Guitar Range

I found a really fine guitar badly in my price range, but there is a pickup ...?
It's a Michael Kelly Trio Rose. Sounds beautiful and he agrees, but one of the things that my father thinks it's really important for my guitar is to have a pickup for gigging. What should I do?

Most importantly, you like this guitar? ... is more than just "cute" and really really sounds pretty good (for how many? you'd be surprised how much of a difference may exist between different guitars, even when they are otherwise exactly the same ...) and you find it comfortable to play? The price is right? And you have a good argument for it, yes? Do not scrimp and do not receive a case ... is not possible without a show and deserves a guitar If you really love what they perceive much of what the vast majority of people who pick up the guitar lose interest in question weeks ... as any guitar teacher (and all parents who face the post-Christmas bills to the guitar-that-sits unplayed-in-hand corner) will tell you, enthusiasm tends to fall dramatically when you have to start remembering the names of chords and how to adjust them ... and good lessons are not cheap ... ALWAYS practicing with a metronome! If your father has reasons to think that you're really going to stick with it, he may be right ... maybe you're a poet to do and put their thoughts to music is the way with the heart ... one day, somewhere, must be high enough to cover a multitude of people who are more interested in their food, or their drinks, or anything else inconsequential blather they think will impress a date ... that is when you want the glory of his instrument and the quality of their music to stop 'em in their tracks ... the more you put your stuff out there, the more you learn.
