Guitar Rig 4 Upgrade
I'm having trouble recording my acoustic guitar correctly all I hear is the chains being struck.?
I use a Yamaha FX 335 guitar Electric, which has a beautiful sound off and provides precisely the tone of what I'm looking for. In the past, with cheaper guitars - I have rigged 1 / 4 "to 1 / 8 "jacks to input my guitar directly to my computer to great success. How to update both my computer (for a 3.1 Quad Core Intel, w / 3GB DDR2) and my guitar - the old methods do not work. When I use my (now store bought) 1 / 4 to 1 / 8 cable for direct input my acoustic - the trills sound in and out like a wave of oscillation - just enough to remove the natural acoustic sound. I have used a power amp sound and oscillation is still there. I also ran my guitar with a Fender Frontman 220, alternating between the use of pre-out on my computer and using a more standard approach (dropping a microphone in front of the singer) and none of these works. I still suffer from the wave horrible and even worse, my sound sounds compressed and muted, dominated by chains to be reached. I use Acid 6.0
Make sure your 9 volt (if you have one, I have one on my Yamaha), the guitar is cool. Maybe try new cables as well. It would be a good idea to use a preamp before going into your computer, or software like guitar line 6 toneport. I use it with very good results, and is not very expensive at all. Good luck.
