Pink Alecia Moore was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, daughter of Judith Moore, a nurse, and James Moore, Jr., a Vietnam veteran. His father is Catholic and his Jewish mother, and his ancestors emigrated from Ireland, Germany and Lithuania. Pink grew up in Pittsburgh, where he attended Kutz Elementary School, Lenape Middle School, and Central Bucks West High School.
