What are the best online tutorials to learn the guitar shred?

I came up with a rock song crazy awsome that needs some shredding hardcore. Unfortunately, I do not have a teacher, so I need some good, online tutorial. Any links or tips?

A great place to learn tips and tricks crunch is youtube.com. There you can find people who teach individually and are actually teachers in music schools, like Miami and Berkley etc. The important things to research are Alternate Picking and stuff. This is the most important place to start. (Through alternate picking). One of the things you may want to get a head start on getting a metronome to increase speed.
