Guitar Signal Splitter

Passing a mono guitar signal into stereo?
I understand its possible to connect a guitar to two amps combo using a Y splitter however, will it really transform the signal into stereo? or will it just be two mono signals? I have two line6 amps spiderIII and wonder how I connect them together and make the stereo signal.
Technically, the signal is mono goes to the amplifiers. However, if you set the amplifiers with different stains, then you has a stereo system. While playing with the delays, you can vary the width of the stereo field. BTW, This is like the Line 6 Vetta works ... two models of amplifiers for two power amplifiers for two speakers. Enjoy.
