Guitar Ska Chords
What chords I would play on a Bb trumpet playing ska?
I know chords chords jazz and blues, but not ska chords. Blues Chords I know are G, C, F. I also know none of these seem to work in Ska. My guess is because of the transposition and C in a Bb trumpet is not guitar C.
AC on trumpet is a Bb on guitar. There really is nothing called "chord ska '(which mostly just playing Maj, Min, Mon, 7) and when you are playing more chord changes that you are playing more than one scale. This means knowing what everyone else is playing key and it may well be something other than G, C and F. Who you are playing with could be playing in a different key, that's why it does not work. Maybe start with just ask your friends to jam on BB and you go play over a C major scale. Eventually, you'll have to learn other scales.
