What kind of paint or varnish that I need to paint a guitar?
I want to refinish an old cheap guitar I have to try. Already painted one, but the painting is still a little sticky to the touch. I think I need a varnish to go over the painting, like a real guitar does. It is a style of Fender so I believe it is made of alder or ash ... perhaps board. the painting is as easy as sticking to my skin which is annoying when I play ..... Oh, and I just applied the Paint Color Works Epoxy Enamel
Look at the painting of the same brand, but look for a clear coat. Make sure that the enamel, you do not want to put lacquer on enamel, it can keep an eye fish. And if you want a high gloss shine, lightly wet sand the paint after drying with a paper of 2000 grit wet sand and dry and make the surface smooth. Then polish it with 3M Foam Polishing Pad Glaze 1. Then polish it with 3M Imperial Hand Glaze 2. You should get a glow that will make a mirror with jealousy. ª ¿ª
