I have a chance to get into a good college?
So far, my first year has been better grades wise. Freshman year I had a GPA weighted average about a 5.0/5.0 (Up to 6.0 is possible, but my school considers to be out of 5) and a weighted average of 4.5/5.0. Sophomore showed similar results, except I have about a weighted average of 5.2 and 4.7 or something not considered. Anyway, here are my 1st semester classes with notes for this year (Junior): AP Language and Composition: B + AP U.S. History:-Pre-Calculus: A Physics-Honors: Spanish 4 B: Graphics Engineering: The Extra-Curricular Activities:-Solstice Magazine Club, Art Club, Habitat for Humanity-Approximately 50 hours of community service (will be more like 70-80, after this summer). guitar lessons -- "Rock Shop" projects through a guitar teacher (I am a singer and guitarist). This is not very impressive, I know ... Anyway ... Results Test: ACT-SAT-32 has not yet taken
It depends on what you consider a "good" college. If you are going to Harvard, where B in Physics you will screw up, but you will have a 50/50 chance to do more. If you mean a second-level school, such as rice, Bowdoin, Lehigh, etc. absolutely! Your ECS are about average. I say apply to anything you want, but do not let your expectations for the schools out of hand. Also, be sure to choose the name brand schools just for the prestige ... seriously, let them fit you.
