I want to attend New School University, but has a low GPA?
Hello, recently I have been wishing to attend the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music New School University in New York. My only problem is that my GPA is really low. I'm in my second trimester of my first year and a GPA 2.2. This is due a I have a difficult past. I'm in the process of recovering from depression, extreme loneliness, and thoughts of suicide. I'm actually a very smart person with a high IQ and several of my teachers consider to be a genius. I'm still trying to regain my past and get up. I'm trying to get into college through the guitar and I am extremely talented. I joined a jazz band for guitar and have an A in class, and 2 other music classes, band and piano.It is not easy for me to return to my feet after all that I have treated. I read the minimum GPA to enter the school is 2.0 so if I got my grades up, I have a fairly good chance of entering school? Go to a music school in NY is my dream.
Everything really depends on the school. To compensate for low GPA, you have to really impress them with all the rest. Some schools, of course, do not really impressive as its transcripts are ... sometimes they just see the GPA. If you do not accept it, try again next year, after you've had a year to increase your GPA.
