Looking for a device for guitar?
I am looking for a device that allows you to remove the guitar track from a recording. (I thought I saw a Line 6 did, but I can not find it)
The device you mentioned uses a notch filter to eliminate specific frequencies that the guitar holds a recording. This is similar to using a graphic equalizer and totally reject the fader specific frequency guitars. The only problem is that it eliminates virtually all in the frequency and once mastered the guitar in the middle and all high-end mid-range sound you may end up eliminating a lot of vocals and keyboards and everything else that is in the range of frequency. Because the guitar tends to bleed towards the end of low and high spectrum you can never really eliminate it all, but does not remove enough to let you play along and replace their original part for the (sorta). Left-T is correct to mention the punch in / out of control, but this is a device used with multitrack recording, as a digital recorder, which track 16 is used to record the original tracks. Let's say you're in a recording studio and have recorded all the drums, bass, guitars, etc.. All of them are registered in your lane individual. The blow on the device (usually only one pedal base) allows you to "puch" a track that is monitoring the re-write more than there was before. This is used to correct an error or redo a part of a band that was not right for some reason. Unable to remove a track from a finished product such as a CD or MP3. The device notch filter is also used in many karaoke machines to remove the existing voice, but the same problems that I mention come earlier
