Guitar Tuner Machine Heads

You can put bass strings on a regular electric guitar? or pick ups would be the f ***, or the tensioner not being able to take the strain? I'm guessing you'd have to replace the tuners and tuners and the nut with the serious would have to be filed down or replaced. The short version would be a good out of it through a bass amp that sounds like a bass guitar?
You probably would not get a very good sound even if you could replace the equipment and get the strings. The guitar is not as long as a bass and it would be difficult if not impossible, to tune the strings to the correct pitch, without breaking anything. The pitch would probably be too horrible and it would be difficult playing. I recommend you buy a low rather than modding a guitar with bass parts and potentially ruining the instrument.
