maintenance issue guitar (Gibson)?

I have a Gibson Explorer and is now officially since i years of age can say that it has a little wear and tear on that since I was wondering where I should take him to get it maitinanced and arent you supposed to do this once a year?

take it to a local store, not a great guitar string guitar as the center, just find a local guy, who knows what he's talking. It would be nice to get a book maintenance guitar and learn some things, the maintenance of the guitar is much easier than it looks and the knowledge you will gain is priceless
