Guitar Vibrato Technique

How can I get a pitch bending effect on my electric cello?
Obviously, I know I can achieve vibrato using the standard technique, but I play electric cello (which has a standard bridge cello) and want to emulate the wah "noise" that wah guitar players can create. I love receive a tremolo (whammy?) Effect bar in front when I'm using distortion rock, but obviously I can not handle the bridge without damaging the instrument. Any intelligent response? Should I buy an effects pedal too expensive? (I really hope that a genius of the stringed instrument reads this):)
Get a multi-purpose pedal just as guitarists use. Some of them have an automatic configuration Wah Wah and some have one that you can work for a pedal, but they all work in any electronic circuit. Connect your cello in the effects, and its effects box into your amp. If you can not see it in your head, throw your electric cello down to your local music store or shop guitar, and let them set it up for you first. This is really not much. In addition, you have not lived until you hear a cello at some stage, a touch of flange, reverb and some vertical!
