guitar volume pot problem
Replace buttons, volume and tone and volume pot is not working right. HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Ok I recently bought volume and tone knobs for my Jackson dinky. Maybe I did it wrong, but I just pushed the buttons to the pan, because I could not think of another way to do it. The tone knob worked well, but it took some force to put it on. I also had problems with my volume pot shorting out when turned up all the way. I could work around that, but it was a pain. Well, I tried to put the volume button again, and it was difficult to do. I got halfway through and checked to see if he was working. I turned on the distortion. The guitar sounds like a slightly distorted guitar clean, and the amplifier works with my other guitar too. I do not know what to do! HELP!

Sounds like you need to break a soldering iron, head to Radio Shack and get a new volume pot.
