Why are not my pick ups work?

I bought a shell of custom configured prewired www.guitarpartsonline.com. They make their own private label collectors, and I heard nothing bad with them ... and the price was just right. I received the shield on Thursday and today I soddered the input jack and ground wire to the tremolo claw. I tried a test tone, but I have not heard anything from my amp, even at maximum volume and the guitar. To be sure, I swapped the wires on the input (I was told that the order does not matter) to be sure, and still nothing. The configuration is HSS, with the singles being regular ceramic and the bridge to what the site called Gold Screamer ". The pots are 500k I believe (or that or 250k, but in this case is that this matter?) Any idea what is wrong?
