Guitar White Pages

im trying to build my writing skills on guitar (acoustic) How can I do this?
I want to play like Jimmy Page too Because I really like summer white and black mountain. It would be nice just classic. I have some thiongs I wrote, but most are just chord bass bass bass bass chord you know things simple waltz timing. How do I break that, to start doing some serious things to classical guitar on the acoustic? Finger picking is mainly what I'm interested, but hackers are still fresh for quick things:) thx
Why do not you find a song with a fingerstyle (or whatever) that you like and learn to play it. Try "Dust in the Wind" is a cliche by now, but the guides are fingerpicking across the web and not very hard. Once this is done, take this finger pattern and try it with different chords. Applying this standard song for her and their chords. If you do with songs enough, you start seeing patterns. You can apply for the chord progressions, move a finger or two, and make it your own. Making things as practical tools that are really good, and you can apply it to other things like taking a chord progression and adding your own melody and lyrics, or have a default strumming and change the chord progression. Take a look you like, and change everything. That's basically what they did when Kerry Livgren wrote "Dust in the Wind" He was just making himself strumming patterns to practice with some chord progressions, and grew up in a song.
