Guitar Wrist Exercises
I could have early signs of carpal tunnel syndrome. What muscles are involved and are to blame?
I posted a question here and I think the symptoms I'm having is the carpal tunnel syndrome. Since last night, I had tingling in the palm of my hand, especially in the center and sometimes to the sides. My guess is that it is the first signs of carpal tunnel and probably go away after a while (like what other people have responded my questions on the other, you are more than welcom to verify). I do a lot of typing at work, and I use one of these blocks of pulse rise his fist on the keyboard. But I think it might be because I'm learning to play guitar and play up to 2 hours per day. So my question is, what muscle (s) concerned carpal tunnel? (In my understanding, is the weakening of muscles or unbalanced force.) What are the exercises and stretches can I do for this?
I believe it is caused by compression of the median nerve, not muscle. The median nerve is within the carpal tunnel and can be compressed due to many reasons, such as reducing the size of the tunnel, or increase the size of the tissue within the channel. Double the risk may also decrease the size of the channel so that you can feel more pain then. I'm not sure about the treatment. I know there are keys available and different exercises, but do not know exactly what kind. But do not try short breaks instead of long pauses during typing.
