harmonics guitar physics
How do these simple harmonic formulas apply to a guitar?

I have these 2 formulas of my physics class, we are making the move simple harmonic. I know that they must apply to a guitar string vibrates, I just do not know how? F =- kx 2Π T = (m / k) 1 / 2

i duno that the formulas are as I have not studied this yet ... But guitar harmonics appear in certain frets, too, playing 2nd harmonics at the same time that are a little out of line to produce a beat frequency. Perhaps a good place to start, do some research.
