Irish Guitar Accompaniment

Bill was from Kentucky, which is the bluegrass state "(theoretically the grass is so green is blue). Monroe calls the music of various traditions music: the Scots-Irish ballad tradition of the Appalachian mountains, the sound bluesy African American musicians, who interacted with Bill, and The Roots of country music, by the Carter family.
A lot of traditional bluegrass Carter Family is the speed. Bluegrass unique sound derives from its instrumentation: guitar, banjo, bass, mandolin and violin with twice as optional additions (though Monroe was a mandolin player, so it was mandatory in his band).
Each instrument has a specific role to play in bluegrass. The bass is the heart beat. Chops (mandolin plays a brief note) over win out where the bass is silent. The guitar combines the rhythms of bass and mandolin (hit and infrequent), but adds special runs between the chords and as ornamentation. The banjo is chosen three fingers, thumb, index and middle, which takes special about them.
Earl Scruggs, who played with Bill Monroe in the early days, popularized this style of banjo Pick and created many well-known songs in this style, like Foggy Mountain Breakdown. Rhythmically, the deployment of three-finger banjo playing in succession, playing the melody and notes of harmony in succession. The violin is played in a bluesy style, with slides and syncopation.
In general, each player receives a bluegrass opportunity to make a break or soil while the other musicians play the parts that go with it. If the piece is an instrumental, each break will be held alternately by different musicians.
For example, in Foggy Mountain Breakdown played by Flatt and Scruggs, the piece begins with the Earl playing the famous tune on the banjo. Paul Warren, his fiddle player, then takes a turn on the violin, playing the melody in a style of violin so that the essential characteristics are achieved, but the sound is different from the version banjo. If the piece is a song, a musician can kick him playing a break. The singer sings a verse and a chorus and then another musician will play a break.
If you are interested in traditional bluegrass, look for names like Bill Monroe, Flatt and Scruggs, Ralph Stanley (which was featured in the movie, O Brother Where Art Thou), Don Reno, Country Gentlemen and Jimmy Martin. There are many bluegrass bands new and wonderful that derive their styles of these pioneers of bluegrass.
