You want to learn to play guitar and try to do it in the world of great music. I know exactly how you feel. I was there. I taught myself to play guitar at home in my room itself. These are some tips on how to do this.
First off, obviously, you need a guitar. As a beginner you really not need anything fancy, mainly because you may find that you would like to change instruments or not to enter the music all together after getting a little experience.
Secondly, having your guitar you're ready to learn and be an incredible musician by the time the day is long. Just a heads up, that probably will not happen. Although you can learn some basics you probably will not be ready to play many of their songs favorite right away, but the best way to get better is to try. The first thing you need to do is tune your guitar. The easiest way to tune your guitar is with an electronic tuner. In order to lower bigest oa string to a default setting should be EADGB E. Next, you need to get a program installed on your computer as editor powertab or guitar pro. Once you have done this go to a site that provides energy or tabs Guitar Pro tabs. Once you decide which location you prefer use, find the searchbar and type the band playing the music you want to learn or just the name of the song. Once it comes up you will want to choose a version that will work with any guitar pro or powertab editor software, depending on what you have. Download the guide and open it in PowerTabs / pro guitar and you will see six lines with numbers on them. Thus:

Holding the guitar If you look at the strings you will see them in the order they appear in these pages. The upper and the lower / higher in the field. The numbers on the lines tell you which fret to put your finger along that line. Frets begin with the end of a neck farther away from the base guitar. Just play what you see. Easy. If it does not sound right at first not be upset. This is definitely normal. Just keep playing with it and eventually you will get it. How do you learn songs try to challenge yourself. Once you learn a lot of songs that you will start to get creative and within half a year or so you should write your own material. Good luck!
