What are some ways to prevent arthritis when I'm older?

ive been cracking my fingers and playing games together as fools blood, and rooms for about 5 - 10 years. I've done some really dumb things and now I'm getting a little worried because I play a guitar and I want to be able to when I am older. What are some ways I could prevent arthritis when I'm older, or or at least make it less of a problem.
