For many aspiring composers, the biggest problem they have is to try to reproduce the sound they have in their head so that others can hear how good is your song.

Those who are in a band can easily try out his compositions with other band members, until they are happy with the song ended.

But for those who do not have access to the band members this can be a problem. It can be very frustrating to have that song got through in our head, but never able to replicate it using only a piano or guitar.

I have been in this situation most of the time I have been writing songs, and long before home computers became popular, was a real worry. The music in my head always sounded much better than the one I played my guitar solo.

But in the last ten years I have been using a music software from PG Music Inc called Band in a Box

For me, this revolutionized my makeup, and besides it's really easy to use. Finally I can get as close as possible to the song I heard in my head.

What do I do if I write the music in a normal, working outside the ropes on each my keyboard or electric guitar, guitar especially in my case. For me I tend to write the chords, melody and lyrics together as I think it helps to write one another.

So now I have the lyrics and melody so I can sing along as I pluck the strings of my guitar. Once I'm happy with the structure of the song that I can turn my attention to achieve Music for Band in a Box

There are different ways I can do that. I could play my music through a MIDI keyboard live Band in a Box, but tend to get physically all the chords of your computer keyboard.

  1. Banda in a lobby of the main box is divided into a grid, similar to table Microsoft, I simply enter the string in a grid box where I want to make a chord change. So, if my music was the key ignition just type in the C Am FG or any other chords that I want for the different grades.

Once I have all the music came into Band in a Box, and I'm happy that the time is correct and all the chords are in place, I get to be creative.

This is where it gets interesting.

One of the main characteristics of the Band in Box is one of hundreds of different styles to choose from and these different styles have different instruments.

So, say I had written a country song. Now I can listen to what suits my particular style best country song. I would like Country Style Swing, but after trying, decide the suites Country Shuffle music better.

Now it gets even more interesting! I can find that the Shuffle country has a guitar in it dumb that I really do not like. After trying a few different guitars out decide I prefer the jazz guitar and so change it to that.

Can I add reverb, chorus and pan to all instruments, the instruments change I do not want to hear. Add a guitar intro, a piano lead Honky Tonk in the middle. The choice is up to me, is the producer of my own song.

This has to be the best support band I've ever played with, without drummer stroppy with the content. No flashy guitarist who want to monopolize the limelight. Just my song being played as I heard in my head!

At this point I can save the instruments on individual tracks, import them into a sequencer, the vocals and do my demo CD.

Or, save the file as a midi file and use it on stage as a backing track for me to add live vocals.

There many more features in Band in a Box, which never got round to using, but it was the best thing I have used to help with my compositions.

For those not play an instrument that would be ideal, it can even create a melody for you. All in all I Recommend this product.
