The sweat was really out of my runny nose and forming a little pool of desperation on the hard disk dojo mat, black. I could feel my lungs burning like a million of tiny midgets were inside them at a Metallica concert and waving their lighters at the end of a blistering guitar solo.
I could say I was pushing my body to its limit. Whenever I'm getting my aerobic maximum my perception of the world collapses. Everything becomes two-dimensional. My eyes lose the ability to see bright colors, and my ears stop feeling the space around me. All you can hear her own labored breathing, the rhythmic beat of their own heart and one voice screaming innner that is screaming for you to stop the madness and find a donut shop!
I was in my third Aerobic Kickboxing Workout class at my gym. I am a recovering couch potato desperately looking for a chance at redemption, or at least a smaller waist.
My parter training appeared to be another decade, and some horrible physical condition that I do. He was holding muay Thai kickboxing pads around the waist high. I feebly kicked the pads 10 times with my right leg, then switched to 10 with my even more pathetic left leg, so I groaned knucklepush up to 10, then with 10 climbers hill, then 10 jumping squats, then 10 burpees ... burpees, burpees good age. So I vaguely remember smiling as I thought it was done ... instead of changing places, the instructor, Kru Evil, made me do it again ... and again ... and again.
This was kickboxing training exercises more difficult of my life? I'm not sure ... I can not remember. All I know is that I felt amazing at the end of class. Exhausted, soaked, but with a strange feeling euphoria. I'll be back in 3 days to do it all again!
