Takamine Guitars is a Japanese company whose 40 + year history has been dedicated to creating high quality guitars. They are always striving to improve the traditional notion of the guitar by building instruments that are unique in their excellence.
The headquarters is located in Sakashita, Japan, near a mountain that leads companies to name-Mountain Takamine. Over forty years ago he began as a guitar making business family and has since evolved into a company that develops and builds a score of guitars that are distributed throughout the world.
Order understand Takamines development and growing popularity, it would be necessary to return to Japan in 1960. This is a time to play the guitar and popular music was becoming popular. The more people wanted to pick up the instrument, the greatest need. Takamine guitars began production during this period of time, largely to meet these needs.
The need grew, so did his business. As a result, they hired Mr. Mass Hirade in 1968, to add the ability and talent his creative team. They needed someone who could help develop and create guitars that would appeal to change the musical tastes of the nation. One of his major contributions was the development of their classic model, a guitar that achieved great popularity.
Takamine is known for two things: the quality of their instruments (Hirade played a big role in this) and their prices. They have an excellent budget line of guitars that also had some popularity because although are cheap, they are known to have good quality.
Currently Takimine has about twenty different styles of guitar. Some of these are acoustic, some are electric, and some are acoustic / electric styles. These models include the 2006 Limited Edition Series, the Signature series, the Takamini, the Naturals, the Supernaturals, and Nashville. The guitars are designed to appeal to a range of preferences like the style.
Takamine also has had some press because of the many artists who play them. In particular, NAM Gallagher of Oasis played a Takamine Guitar performance during a popular disconnected. Other artists include Jon Bon Jovi, Kenny Chesny, Garth Brooks, Brad Davis, Linkin Park, Bjorn Berge, Montgomery Gentry, Christine Kane, and Toby Keith. Here is what a person has to say about his guitar Takamine:
About the Takamine EAN-10C
The sound of this guitar is what sold me. Balanced across the tonal spectrum. Rich and full a great all around rhythm acoustic guitar. Very easy to play, the guitar does not get mushy when you dig into it. The electronics are superior anything in the market to play live, comes with built-in and build. If I'm playing with friends or solo guitar work. Nice and loud, but not excessively so, I have to say excellent for vocal accompaniment.
