What is the usual size of the neck of a guitar begenning?

Actually, I have no idea what you are doing here. Firstly, what do you mean by "where the neck starts?" Are you referring to the end closest to the sound hole and the bridge, the neck at the nut or neck / body joint? There are individual differences among brands and models of guitars and no "normal size" width neck or standard for this. In addition, the nylon string acoustic guitars have necks significantly larger than the global steel chain acoustic guitars. The length of the neck actually has a very limited importance. The important thing is the scale of the neck (the length of the vibrating string between the nut saddle and the bridge). The more scale, there is more distance between the frets and the higher the tension of the strings.
