Should I paint this guitar?

I have Epiphone Les Paul Custom Shop Standard Ltd. The silver sparkle kills me. The tone is a green juice preserved natural light. I had sent Gibson / Epiphone and asked what the numbers were run and that is so personal about this guitar. No figures were executed and the color is custom shop. It is 2008 and I doubt that this guitar is as limited as it seems. Should I paint it? Here is a guitar similar to mine on ebay. I do not paint it. In an electric, the extra layer of paint will not affect your sound .... But if You're a professional, the paint job will look like what it is .... a painting amateurs. There is much more to paint a guitar than just hitting it with a couple of layers of spray paint. After placing a paint job on it at home, the resale value will downhill. The cost of having it professionally painted will lose more than just a guitar in exchange for a color you want. I think you should learn or to live with the color, or sell it and get something you like. As a side note, I have a pedal steel guitar that I bought used. The color is sort of a sunburst of blue-green. I never liked him, but many people comment on the cool color. Chances are you'll also receive compliments on your "custom" LP colored.
