Which guitar is better?

I'm thinking of upgrading my guitar and was wondering if a set of gauge heavier or lighter would be better suited for both me and the style of music I play more. I read that electric guitarists usually use lighter gauge strings and they feel easier on the fingers, but go out of tune easily and break easily. On the other hand, gauge strings last longer and louder sound heavy, but are more difficult to play. I understand that the best is to try all different kinds of strings to find out which suits me better but I really can not afford to spend too much money in sequences that can not even use, let alone ones that can break fast I'm into rock, soloing (nothing too fancy), power chords, riffs and yes, that's about all you do in rock xD Thanks in advance, I would just like some advice from some fellow guitarists:)

Hi, you pretty much defined the choices of light versus heavy. You could consider "half sizes", like 9.5 if you can not decide between 9 and 10!
