improvisation guitar?
I was learning guitar (no classes) was the use of online guides and videos to friends. I I tried to get improvisation, but I was thinking. For me, that sounds great with a jam band. but after I take it, it sounds crap. Is this normal? I'm assuming it sounds good on the runway because the runway jam jam carries me, or something like that. I am not too worried about it atm, just started trying to improve, so hopefully that will get better with time. Yes, it's easier to improvise with a band of constant support. This is because the range of support gives us a frame of reference to play to. It provides a "framework" that we can construct our sentences in and provides some milestones "that we can use to help our soil seems consistent. When you remove the strip of support are just playing unaccompanied "exercises" that lack a degree of musicality, without the basic rhythmic structure. This is good to isolate and work on specific riffs and licks, but to really make your leadership playing "sing" you want to have this range of support to provide the context for the soils of their melodic improvisation. Some great ideas to help build your "vocabulary" are using simple sentence as phrases and link them like you are having a conversation. Use a question and answer "type of sentences as well. This is where the phrase "first" the phrase leaves out of an idea "unfinished" as a folded note. Then the sentence that immediately follows that apparently responds to finish that sentence with a note root tone or chord. These ideas are actually very easy to incorporate, just keep the sentences short and simple for now. Use tension building ideas as hammer ons and pulloffs to incorporate a bit of speed in their sentences. Course curves are great for adding tension and release tension. Interestingly, you can use the same double in two different chords for one feel totally EX: try this basic curve over a C major chord first, then on a minor chord A; ---------- ------- ---- 7b (9) - (ring finger use) choose the note, then bend one whole step ------ ------ ------ Notice that on a C major chord that sounds " gay and "rising" But the exact same curve on the minor chord sounds "sad" and "crying." A good trainer can help you immensely with your soloing ability. This is just an example of simple sentences. more you practice the better you will become effective on improvisation over any progression! Good Luck!
