Vs Dynamic Microphones Condenser Microphones

There are three main types of condenser microphone used for recording music (in the studio the major labels, indie studios, and home studios alike) and are as follows:

(1) Dynamic microphones.

(2) microphones Great diapragm condenser.

(3) Small diapraghm condenser microphones.

N Best Single "Mike"

The first important thing to understand is that there is no "one mic fits all" solution. Each microphone is more appropriate for a particular type of recording. The first thing you need to know is what you're shooting. Once you know you can select the best type of microphone (and from there you can choose the specific type microphone that you can afford.)

Dynamic microphones

These are usually the cheapest type of microphone and they are also the most durable. They do not need "phantom energy" as condenser microphones point (more about that in the condenser microphone of this article.) What are the most appropriate for? They are used to record the sounds amplified, as an amplifier of an electric guitar. You may think you have to record your electric guitar directly on your recording device, but this is not true. You will never capture the same kind of sound, going directly to where you will write an amplifier. They are also used for recording drums (bass drum, snares, and toms).

Large Condenser Microphones Diapraghm

These are used for recording vocals and "deep" sound of acoustic instruments like the cello or bass. These tend to be more expensive and in fact they can become extremely expensive, in some cases (Like the famous Neumann U87 that retails for over $ 4000.)

Small Condenser Microphones Diapraghm

These instruments are used to record more acoustic (guitars, violins, etc.) and for recording hi-hat cymbals and a live drum set.

Which brand?

Now that you know what type of microphone to use, the next decision is which type to buy? For most the most expensive microphone, which is the highest quality. This is not simply a situation in which these products are marked with different marks (see: clothes) is a situation where there are large differences in quality. You will notice a significant improvement in sound quality when using a more expensive mic. So the answer to this question is: Buy the most expensive microphones you can afford.

Most professional microphones pick up sound waves and convert these waves into an electrical signal to be used for audio equipment in one of two ways.

Dynamic microphones

The dynamic (or moving coil) microphone operates using a coil of wire and a magnet to create the audio signal. Interaction coil and magnet wire is called electromagnetic induction and is responsible for generating a voltage signal output. A diaphragm is connected to coil, and is mounted within the microphone so he can move in response to a sound wave. When the diaphragm vibrates, the coil moves back and forth entered into magnetic field. This movement in the field generates an electric current (induction), which can be converted by sound equipment in sound waves. The strength of the electric current is directly related to the movement of the coil.

Advantages

Dynamic microphones are large general purpose microphones. They have fewer moving parts than condenser microphones, and as a result they are generally more rugged and durable. Moreover, since generating their own power, no external power is required.

Disadvantages

The physics behind the coil may contribute to limitations in response frequency. microphones in general, dynamic is less sensitive than condenser microphones.

Condenser Microphones

In a condenser microphone a tensile load is applied to the diaphragm by either battery or phantom power. The diaphragm is mounted very close to a halt in back plate. Sound waves hitting the diaphragm causes it to move closer and further from the back plate which causes fluctuations of electric charge to occur. The interaction between the diaphragm and back plate creates an electrical component called a capacitor (or condenser), and the variations due to tension can be reinterpreted as sound waves, audio receiver equipment.

Advantages

Condenser microphones are very sensitive and creates a much stronger signal than dynamic microphones. This makes them an ideal choice for professional environments such as studio work, where it is important to pick up vocal nuances.

Disadvantages

Condenser microphones usually have more moving parts than their dynamic counterparts and are less durable. Moreover, since not generate its own power source that requires external power. (Battery or phantom power)

What is phantom power? Food ghost is a direct current (usually between 12 and 48 volts) that provides condenser microphone powered via audio cables. 48 volt power ghost is the most common and is usually provided by pre-amplifiers and audio mixers.
