How do I get a good rock sound of my bass guitar?

hey any1 know how i can get a good rock sound of my bass? my amp has a volume, bass, mid, treble and presence of a button. my bass and has one volume and one tone knob, and has a single split pickup. this can some1 tell me how can I get a fresh sound to rock out of my bass? thanks any help would be appreciated oh I forgot I also have a low input and high gtarczar but is only a 15watt practice amp

you are describing a low base and a small amp (? right), turn the knobs on your bass all the way up and configure it for the bridge pickup (initially) on the amp, set the bass @ 80-10, @ mid 4-6, treble 5-7 @, @ Presence Volume 5-8 as you please, use your fingers to a tone bulkier (no choice) If you use a pick then decrease the treble and presence. These settings are only a starting point, so experience from there, especially with the settings for collection. Bass do not usually use the distortion (which is why bass amps do not have it), but it's fun play with! choir is a great effect on the bass! this is an envelope filter! check!
